1. What are Made Nu candles made from?
We believe the things you bring into your home should feel as good as they smell. Our candles are thoughtfully crafted with natural coconut soy wax, cotton wicks, and high quality fragrance and essential oils that are phthalate and toxin free, so you can enjoy a clean and beautiful burn.
Each candle is hand poured in small batches and designed to create a warm, comforting atmosphere without the harsh chemicals often found in conventional candles. It is part of our commitment to creating products that are clean, conscious, and made with care for both people and the spaces they live in.
2. Are your candles safe for homes with children and pets?
We create our candles with care so they can be enjoyed in the spaces where life happens. While our ingredients are chosen with your home environment in mind, candles are still an open flame and should always be used with care.
We recommend burning candles on a stable surface away from drafts and always keeping them safely out of reach of children and pets.
When used responsibly, our candles are designed to help create a calm, beautiful atmosphere you can enjoy throughout your home.
3. How strong is the fragrance?
Our candles are designed to create a noticeable yet balanced fragrance that gently fills the room without overwhelming the space. The goal is to create an atmosphere that feels warm, inviting, and elevated rather than overly strong.
Each scent is carefully blended to develop beautifully as the candle burns, allowing the fragrance to slowly open and fill your environment with a soft, lingering aroma.
Most customers find that one candle comfortably scents a bedroom, office, or living space, creating a calm and refined atmosphere throughout the home.
For larger or open spaces, many customers enjoy burning multiple candles to create a more immersive fragrance experience.
4. How should I burn my candle for the first time?
The first burn is important for the life of your candle. Allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface during the first burn, which typically takes 2–3 hours. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the candle’s life.
For best results, trim the wicks to ¼ inch before each burn.
5. Why is my candle tunneling?
Tunneling happens when a candle is not burned long enough during the first use. When the wax melts only in the center, it can leave wax along the edges of the vessel.
Allowing the wax to melt fully across the top during the first burn helps create a full melt pool and ensures your coconut soy candle burns evenly each time.
6. When will my order ship and what is your return policy?
Each candle is carefully packaged and shipped within 3–5 business days. We take great care in preparing every order to ensure it arrives safely.
Because our candles are hand-poured in small batches, all sales are final and we do not accept returns. However, if your order arrives damaged or there is an issue with your shipment, please contact us and we will gladly make it right.
